Balducci's

Save

Balducci’s reputation for good food began in 1916 when Pop Balducci started selling produce from his pushcart in Brooklyn, later opening a store in The Village. It became hailed as “a Greenwich Village culinary mainstay” by The New York Times.

Looking to open a second location in New York City’s Upper West Side, it hired Shook Kelley to retain the history, tradition and heritage that made the company famous for over 85 years.

“A Greenwich Village culinary mainstay”

“Product, product, product” was the thematic mantra driving the design of Balducci’s. The store was literally stuffed with the best in freshly prepared entrees, salads and side dishes, as well as hard-to- find specialty products. The store’s bakery, butcher shop, seafood, cheese departments, and sandwich, coffee and espresso bars were the talk of Manhattan.
