When the owner decided to open another Lucky 32 location, they turned to Shook Kelley for a re-prototype concept they called “new-new-old-old.” The intent was to build a new restaurant that would look good now, wear well, and still look good 50 years from now.

Upscale, eclectic, and unique...

Featuring distinctive American flavors from regions such as Napa, Sonoma, Charleston and Chesapeake Bay. Lucky 32 is a prototype concept with a distinctive, casual atmosphere that is fun, light-hearted, warm and inviting. The Shook Kelley design team studied buildings, townscapes and storefronts from half a century ago, and designed the new Lucky 32 with that style in mind. The result was a building exterior that looks like it has been standing for decades, featuring large windows, art deco brickwork, a sloped mansard roof, pre-cast concrete - signage, thin canopies, distinctive details and black accent banding.

The new design incorporates elements that made the other locations successful, with more attention to details and a consistency aimed at a consumer demographic that has become much more sophisticated than when Lucky 32 was founded.

The restaurant remains relaxed and comfortable, encouraging patrons to “Learn what is means to Be Happy. Go Lucky."
