The Streets At SouthGlenn

Save

This regional, urban lifestyle destination was designed by a consortium of noted planners and archtiects* to create a new neighborhood by weaving with shopping, dining, living and working urban experiences as varied and vital as found in the city, and as comfortable and accessible as the suburbs may afford.

The Streets at SouthGlenn is a redevelopment of the former Southglenn mall site. It therefore incorporated elements of the former mall that by tenant ownernship, legal requirements and infrastructure realities that could not change, These elements were creatively woven together with new tenant offerings, residences over the retail and an inviting public realm to create an excellent model for repurposing these failed elements of the suburbs.

An excellent model for repurposing the failed experiments of the suburbs.

The Streets at SouthGlenn features sidewalk cafés, gourmet bistros and retailers unique to the market. The retail center is also be home to the Commons, a one-city-block-long park, which features a grand fountain and fireplace, mature landscaping, lush gardens and a playground, accented by a splendid outdoor café.

*Shook Kelley was part of a team during the conceptual stage that included Callison Architects, CommArts, SEM Architects and others.
